Henry hit his two month birthday this week, and we celebrated with the standard family photo routine. We’ve moved Eleanor’s photos to the 16th to match Henry – so her 18 month picture is also included and a bit late. Henry slept the night in his room for the first time this week – and handled the transition well. So far, his noises haven’t woken Eleanor up, and vice versa. Hopefully that is a good sign. Henry also celebrated his first Valentine’s day, and had his first bottle from Aunt Lary. So far, he is taking after his sister both in terms of sleep (great at night, not so good on the naps) and smiles (extremely stingy with). He had lots of good daytime sleep this week, though, as Grandma was in town and was happy to let him sleep on her.
Eleanor also had lots of fun with Grandma, especially watching for airplanes out the window, and learning that Grandma took an airplane to come visit. I haven’t been able to get her to repeat it yet, but I’m pretty sure on Saturday Eleanor said “Susan” when looking at a picture of her favorite Aunt in Michigan. I’ll have to try and catch it on video this week. She also had a few sounds that might have been “Grandma” or “Grandpa” but she hasn’t quite nailed it yet. Eleanor gets a kick out of Henry’s tummy time, and likes to join in with him. On Sunday, she even gave her Monkey some tummy time on Henry’s rug, complete with back rub.
Both kids had a checkup at the Dr. this week – everything is great – and Amy snapped what might be the cutest picture of sibling reassurance of all time (I’m a bit biased):
