Henry turned four months old this week! He celebrated with a couple of new tricks. First, he can now make a razzing noise, and second, he can roll over if we prop him up on his arms during tummy time. I’m not quite ready to give him full credit for rolling over, becuse we have to help him get his arms under him, but it is definitely close. His head control is also coming along, he can now sit in the bumpo chair, and tonight he tried the jumparoo for the first time. Eleanor’s response was “El-nor”, which is her typical response when Henry is doing something, and it means “now it’s Eleanor’s turn”. We had to explain to her that she would no longer fit in the jumparoo. Henry can also now grab his own toes – which is always fun.
Eleanor has been working on saying longer phrases. She often says them in a kind of rapid mumble, so you have to be paying attention, but she will say four and even five word phrases. Most of the time it is imitating something that Mom or Dad does. We are also trying to teach her to smile for the camera – thus a few strange teeth bearing expressions in this week’s gallery :)
