Henry had his first bites of food this week – pears. He wasn’t a big fan, but I’m sure that he will come around. The first bites were mostly met with confusion and funny face expressions. He did end up eating a little bit, but most of it came back out his mouth. Eleanor was eating lunch at the time, but that didn’t seem to instill a great appetite in Henry. This weekend he and Eleanor alternated their naps a bit, so Henry got some rare time with both Mom and Dad, which was fun. Henry is starting to put some weight on his legs, and sometimes can bear all of his weight for a few seconds.
Eleanor has been practicing her alphabet a lot this week – in fact on Friday she was running back forth between the family room and the fridge where her magnet letters are while Mom was making lunch. Mom finally stopped to see what she was up to, and found Eleanor holding the letter E, Monkey sitting on the slide with the letter M next to her, and the letter H on the floor in front on Henry in the jumparoo. Very impressive! Eleanor also conquered a new section of the park this week all by herself, climbing though the maze and finishing on the slide that is intended for the bigger kids. And she has a new tooth coming in, one of her two year molars.
We had a quick visit from Mimi and Papa this week as well – and both kids had fun catching up with them.
